Living the Moment

In this fast paced life, we are constantly,“doing “ something – either managing or organising or instructing or correcting or arguing ….. we sometimes loose out on the “essence” of true living…. imitating the adults, the children of today are also either texting or reading or chatting “Simply being” has become a thing of the past…

I remember my grandmother, she used to sit calmly for hours on the rope cot, with her legs stretched out, with a serene smile; i used to wonder what she was thinking all the time…..

Today, I realise, she was just “living the moment”; yes! celebrities today take pride in attending vipasana meditation classes where, for ten days, we are encouraged to stay in silence; moving to a “thoughtless” state is the ultimate happiness; children reach that state naturally, when they are engaged in play; but sadly, today, technology is upsetting their serenity.
